Dog Park Rules

All “Dog Park Days” are open to any graduate of the Midwest K9 Training, Incorporated Remote Collar Course. The dog park days are held on one Saturday morning each month (March through November) from 9:30am-11:30am.

The dog park days are intended for dog owners and their dogs to experience the socialization of other dogs and people in a safe, secure environment. In order to keep the “park” safe and secure the following rules must be adhered to.

In the event of inclement weather, you can check on the status of the park on the morning of each scheduled dog park date by visiting our website www.midwestk9training.com or by visiting our facebook page at www.facebook.com/MidwestK9 .

  1. The dog park is open to, and offered to, only current and past clients of MWK9.
  2. All clients must agree to and sign the waiver form that releases MWK9 and Jeff and Shirley Rynearson from any and all liability associated with injury to themselves and/or their dogs.
  3. All dogs must be on leash to and from park area.
  4. All dogs must be up to date on rabies vaccination.
  5. Humans need to be aware of dogs running in packs.
  6. Due to dogs in various states of training and socialization, children younger than 16 years of age are discouraged from attending.
  7. Relax and have fun watching your dog enjoy the socializing. Seriously, relax…it’s important for you to show a relaxed state and confidence to your dog and the others.

Remember, many of the dogs attending are in various stages of dog and human socialization. The park is intended for all dogs to enjoy the interaction and exercise. There will be times of growling and anxiety (by the dogs). It is the purpose of the “dog park days” that we work through many of these issues. In other words, don’t “freak out” if another dog growls or antagonizes your dog. I, or one of my assistants, will always be on hand to monitor and supervise the interaction.
